Customizing a character

Posted by bosch On May - 19 - 2009

After you choose the class you’ll see a window with your character. On its right you’ll be able to choose a name for him/her and conveniently click “check” button to see if the name is available on the server.

Also on the left side you’ll see preset configurations for your character. Choice of head and hair as well as body type.

Aion offers extreme character customization that mmorpg world hasn’t seen yet.

On your right you are given customization sliders that change sizes of the body and even height of the character.

Elten

Posted by admin On May - 12 - 2009

Apart from areas for Asmodae and Elysea AION is introducing Elten area.
Thanks to exclusive footage provided to us by NCsoft for AION fans we are proud to introduce this visually stunning , full of new “mobs” and challenges to your play style.
This area is not a small area within existing lands but is separated from Asmodae and Elysea.
Video footage is posted on the right side of the main page or click Videos to see even more videos about class performance skills.
Once the breadbasket of Elysea, Eltnen is now threatened by an encroaching desert. Lady Yustiel, one of the gods of the Elyos, has established several Mystic Springs in hopes of revitalizing the area, but so far there has been little improvement. Could there be a saboteur in the mix? As if this weren’t enough, the area is also under attack from mutant wildlife, alluring succubi, statues that have come to life, volcanic spirits, and of course the ever-present Krall. The Daevas are mustering their forces, preparing to defend their ethereal fortress to the death, if that’s what it takes.

Chanter

With one hand, the Chanter will bring down a staff on their enemy, while the other summons a shield to protect a fallen comrade, all the while shouting words of encouragement to the rest of his men.
The Chanter’s ethos is one of duty and faith, disciplining his or her body and soul harshly. While their abilities may cross into several more specialized roles, still the chanter has unique skills that any group of adventurers would be grateful for.

Cleric

Class discussions for Cleric. (For Priest and Chanter see appropriate categories)

The path of the Cleric is a natural progression from the Priest, as they will be granted the ability to cure even deeper wounds and protect ailing friends from cruel enemies. Legend has it that our most powerful Clerics can even bring humans back from death, though I must admit I’ve never witnessed such a miracle myself.
The Cleric has also learned a degree of self-defence and can stand their ground when equipped with mace and shield. They also have access to a range of fortifying and weakening spells, as well as a number of powerful attack spells that can inflict substantial damage on unsuspecting foes.

Priest

Now we come to the Priest, arguably the backbone of any successful party. Their ability to keep Daeva battle-ready even in the direst of circumstances cannot be underestimated, and is absolutely vital in ensuring groups survive against the more pressing challenges in Atreia. I remember seeing ailing comrades brought to full health in a heartbeat, and I have seen deadly poisons cured just as they were about to snatch their victims away from their friends and family, all by the fair hand of a kind and benevolent Priest.
Once a Priest has learned and fully understood the intricacies of their class, they will be given two new paths to choose from: that of the Cleric, and the Chanter.

Spiritmaster

Spiritmaster

Class discussions for Spiritmaster. (For Mage and Sorcerer see appropriate categories)

Spiritmasters are a unique class, in that much of their power is actually derided from the abilities of the elementals they have learned to summon. I have known this to cause a degree of stigma from other Daeva as the power they wield is not really their own. However, that is not to say that Spiritmasters are weak - indeed the extra protection granted by their summons makes them far more durable than Mages and Sorcerers.
By all accounts, the path of the Spiritmaster is one of the more testing paths to journey down. While they start out with limited actual ability, their potential is great and is only unlocked as they become more experienced, eventually granting full command over all four elements.

Sorcerer

Posted by admin On May - 6 - 2009

Class discussions for Sorcerer. (For Mage and Spiritmaster see appropriate categories)

The sorcerer is in many ways the natural successor to the Mage - the amount of anguish these elite few can cause is simply staggering. While Mages spit out fireballs, I have seen Sorcerers summon raging infernos, and when a Mage casts chains of ice, a Sorcerer can reply with freezing blizzards and blinding snowstorms. Their talents have single-handedly turned the tide battle before; such is the power they possess.
A Sorcerer is not resilient however, and is one of the most defenceless classes in Atreia. In order to ensure they are kept alive it is often necessary to assign others to protect them, a cost that most are able to accept, given their extreme power.

Mage

Class discussions for Mages. (For Sorcerer and Spiritmaster see appropriate categories)

Now we turn to the Mage, the class which first enamoured me and inspired me to learn about the Daeva and their ways. Mages are at once incredibly powerful and yet exceptionally vulnerable - able to deal out terrifying, awe-inspiring levels of damage, while taking little in return. They have command over the elements, summoning raging fireballs and chains of the coldest ice to wreak havoc over ranks of the enemy. They can even speak to our shattered planet, calling forth roots to bind enemies in place.
However, as I mentioned, Mages are also extremely weak, and so must learn to evade and divide whenever possible. As with all classes, knowing when to fight and when to flee is vital, but this is only accentuated when the defences of the subject are so very limited.
Once a Mage has survived the fragile existence of their first few months, they may find themselves able to choose one of two areas of expertise: the path of the Sorcerer, and of the Spiritmaster.
