Created Scout, than choose profession Ranger 11LvL:
-no gold
-no skills
-no good weapons
-die every 5-10 minutes

Hard to with Ranger.

When I played on china beta testing with Cleric, it was much easer.

I always like to play a Ranger class more than the rest in most games but to be honest lasting 5 to 10 mins sounds about average Smiley

It will be the first class I create and look forward to playing it.

From what I understand Rangers is a kite class very skill dependent.
Snares/incapacitate/knockdowns are the way to go.

My guess is that they will be very powerful at higherlevel but hard at lower level.

My brother says he will take ranger for sure coz it doesnt matter if rangers are noobs at low lvl, the point is that they are said to be very strong when they reach higher lvls. You just need to be patient and get through low lvl times. Later you will just enjoy playing "bow master".  Wink

When I start this game, This is what I am thinking of rolling for my main.

I'm used to playing a Ranged DPS class, where if playing solo the mob is
probably dead before it reaches you, or when playing grouped your
providing damage at range but not pulling that aggro from main tank.

I wont like it if there is Lots of Kiteing though.  Sure stunning/disableing/trapping/rooting
a mob is fine as long as the mob is nearly dead before he reaches your feet and you only
have to finish them off.

Attacking the running about the place with them following you and you takeing pot shots
or waiting for your health/skill to comeback up would not be really fun for me. Fine if for some reason
you need to Kite a boss while grouped, but not while soloing.

i have a question or 2 for those who have tried the ranger so far.

i understand the whole kite scheme. . .  slow/stun/immobilize the target, run back, shoot till did.
my real question is, are the skills on cast timers, were u have to be standing still or are most of the skills able to be used on the move?

the reason i ask this is ive played the Hunter on WoW and the Shadow Warrior on Warhammer Online.   i prefer the shadow warrior, because they had a spec that allowed them to do most, if not all of their attacks, on the move. . .  it made for some VERY FUN high lvl pvp, because if done right, u could keep ur targets slowed, while running around like a mad man, and the melee would never touch u.

just looking for some insight, because as of now ive only tried the Gladiator(love it), but am interested in the Ranger and what it can/cannot do.
